Having a good birthday or having a good feng shui house doesn’t mean that we can automatically have all the skills for our professional development. Good leaders or communicators are not born, practice and more practice makes them good.
Recently I joined a Speech Craft Course hosted by Toastmaster’s Club. This was a six week intensive program, I graduated last Thursday. Each week we did a prepared speech, and evaluated other speeches. We also answered impromptu questions. During each section, we took different leadership roles, like chairman, toastmaster, call to order etc. It was stressful at the beginning, but got better and became enjoyable.
I learned a lot, and also meet many wonderful people.
