2025 is a ‘Wood Snake’ year. Snake is one of the four travel horses (Tiger, Monkey, Snake and Pig) in Chinese astrology. Many people traveled extra miles this year.
I have had a few great trips in 2025. Each trip gave me an uplifting and great experience.
- The National Falk Festival: My first trip in this year was to the National Falk Festival in Canberra during the Easter holidays. I used to go this festival every year with my family before Covid. There were no festivals during Covid, after five years, I joined again. The National Falk Festival is a big event, and used to attract about 50,000 visitors. The camp sites were quite full. This time, I went with my husband, the camp sites were quite empty. Only a few tents. I learned how to camp from previous visits to this festival. Using the right gear, when our bodies connecting to the earth, without hard and cold feelings. We set up the tent to face the lucky stars.
The slogon of the festival is: Five Days in a Perfect World. when I was there, I made sure that I’m in a perfect world. I switched off my brain from work, followed my program: 9-10am Ukulele Jam, 10am -12pm Dance workshop, 12-1pm lunch break, 1-3pm Singing workshop, sing for Festival choir, 3-4pm flexible, 4-6pm catch up with husband and friends, beer time and dinner, evening go to concert, sometimes jamming. I repeated this program every day, feeling enchanted.
2. China: after the national falk festival, my family and I went to China to visit my father. This time we flew to Chen Du, Shi Chung province, changing flight to Fujian. It gave us opportunity to see a new part of China we havn’t seen before. The trip was great, my father is 91 years old, he is in good health and under good care. My husband performed blue’s music, and I was the interpreter. My father has dementia, but he remembers us, he told me that he is more than happy to see me!
Chen Du is a very big city, we see the old and the new parts of the city. robots working in the hotel. streets were clean, people’s service were good. There were manu great sites, we didn’t have enough time to see them all.
3. In July, we went to London, and Italy. Italy is a great country for visiting, It has 56 world heritage sites, number one in the world.
4. On the way back from Europe, I flow to Los Angelas America. I visited my sister in San Jose, and a friend in LA.
It’s good to be able to travel. to see the world, experiencing different cultures and feng shui. but whatever where we are, if we have a harmonious heart, our life will be always beautiful.
